The mysterious Jade... Who is she? Her book is written as if it is a confession, but who is she writing to? Jade wants to remain anonymous and she continues to be illusive. That is what intrigues us most.

Secretly Bound' is a provocative, suspenseful read from Indiana-born author Jade
Who is "Jade?"
Jade, the author of Secretly Bound from Pursuit Publishing, is something of a mystery. We do know she was born in Indiana, following the Hoosier literary tradition of Theodore Dreiser, Kurt Vonnegut Jr.,Philip Jose Farmer, Laurell K. Hamilton , and others. We also know she now resides in The Netherlands...much like the main character in Secretly Bound , who is also named Jade. What is harder to discern is where fact ends and where fiction begins. If "Jade" is a pen name, the author's real name has not been made public.
In the novel Jade and her wife Jessica live in the Netherlands (where same-gender marriages are legal) with their young son. Jessica desperately wants to have another child, but she's having trouble getting pregnant again. Jessica's increasing disappoint creates a rift between them, leading Jade down a dangerous path. She seeks to ease her loneliness by flirting with a woman she meets on an online social network. What follows is a tense blend of romance, sensuality, and action with a surprising twist at the end.
Fans of Anais Nin will appreciate the way Jade (the author) weaves the story of Henry and June into her narrative. While the book is not available at the St. Joseph County Public Library yet, it's worth seeking out. The paperback is available through the Pursuit Publishing website (see link above).
For couples seeking an intensely sensuous, heart-pounding reading experience, this book would make an excellent Valentine's Day gift.

Jamie Nova grew up on a ranch outside of Rapid City, South Dakota and began singing when she was 2 years old in the church. Oddly, she was never exposed to any other musical genres outside of gospel and golden oldies, until she was 20 years old when she heard her first rock song and fell in love. The young girl with big dreams of being a singer and muscian, finally found her calling.
At 25, she came storming into the rock scene as the lead singer of Hell's Belles, the premier world famous all female AC/DC tribute band. A dynamic vocalist with incredible stage presence, Jamie has captured the hearts of thousands with her undeniably powerful performance that leaves fans wanting more. Jamie, together with Mischa Kianne, started the band Witchburn, a passionate, moody southern metal, made even more powerful by the band's fierce energy and musical chops. Their first release, 'this is how we slay our demons' evolved out of creative collaboration between Nova and Kianne who wrote the music and lyrics together, backed by Jacy Peckham on bass and Dana Sims on drums, they are an unstoppable force.
Jamie has been song writing revealing her softer side for many years now. Her first solo album, 'The Softer Side', produced by Jack Endino, Jamie reveals her vunerable self giving insight to her powerful range of vocal talent. PRESS RELEASE: January 20, 2011 - Seattle Washington Jamie Nova, From Hell's Belles To Witchburn, and Her ‘Softer Side’
Jamie Nova, lead singer of Hell's Belles, announced today that she will be leaving Hell's Belles, the infamous and talented all female AC/DC tribute band, in order to pursue her own musical aspirations. Nova came storming onto the scene in March of 2005 and has been performing with the hard-working women of the Belles for nearly the last six years. With her amazing stage presence and incredible vocal ability, Nova has kept AC/DC fans on their feet and wanting more.
"The Belles has been an incredible experience," commented Nova.
“I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to play music with such talented women for so long. I thank them for everything and I will always remember all of the incredible adventures we had together. This is where I grew up as a performer and as an artist, with the support of my four big sisters in Hell’s Belles, but it is really time for me to move on and I wish them all the very best. I would also like to thank all the fans for the incredible energy and support you’ve given me throughout the years. It was an AMAZING ride!”
As the lead singer and co-songwriter of Witchburn, she is thrilled to pursue her own style with the passionate artists of her Witchburn family. Witchburn is an all original, passionate, moody, southern metal band. Their debut full length release, 'This is How We Slay Our Demons...' evolved out of creative collaboration mainly between Nova and lead guitaress Mischa Kianne, writing music and lyrics together, along with Jacy “The Rock Lion” on bass and Dana Sims laying down a solid sludgy beat on the drums. It was produced by the legendary Jack Endino. Recently, they won the KISW Cock Fight seven times in a row, earning them a spot in the KISW Cock Fight Hall of Fame. Witchburn has become an unstoppable force and is currently touring throughout this month, from the Pacific Northwest down the West coast. In March, they will be working their way to Austin, touring the western third of the U.S. and performing at the 2011 SXSW Music Festival. For more tour information visit myspace.com/witchburn
In addition, Jamie Nova has just finished her first solo album, 'The Softer Side' also produced by Jack Endino. 'The Softer Side' peels back her hard rock layer and reveals a more emotional, vulnerable side to Nova. Her raspy vocals and acoustic guitar, also backed by her Witchburn family in five songs, has been compared to the stylings of Melissa Etheridge and Janis Joplin, and will strike a cord with fans of their work. The album is filled with themes of long distance love in '1500 Miles' as well as friendship in humorous, catchy songs such as 'To Us' and 'Drinking and Smoking' that are tough for a bar crowd to resist singing along with. In addition, and in honor of her gratitude to Hell's Belles, she has remade the famous AC/DC song ‘Hell's Bells’, supported by the amazing work of Mischa Kianne on acoustic guitar, creating a sexy, slow version of the song. Nova is touring both the Pacific Northwest and Europe, playing acoustically at multiple venues, and also plans an official CD release party in Seattle this coming April.
