In February 2007, the shared private life of Gustav Hofer and Luca Ragazzi was turned upside down: the Italian government had presented a draft law that acknowledged the legal rights of unmarried and gay couples, prompting a tidal wave of ferocious homophobia throughout Italy. Het ware verhaal van Gustav Hofer en Luca Ragazzi, de 2 makers van de op internationale festivals bekroonde, ironische film documentaire SUDDENLY, LAST WINTER. Hun leven wordt op zijn kop gezet wanneer de Italiaanse regering een wetsvoorstel in behandeling neemt om homokoppels en ongehuwde stellen rechten te geven. Het voorstel leidt tot een groot nationaal debat. Een golf van homofobie overspoelt Italië. Het Vaticaan van de Paus en de conservatieven ageren tegen de plannen van de regering. Volgens hen is het einde nabij als de wetgeving wordt aangenomen.
